UNCLEAN SPIRITS?
(Luke 6:17-26)
Purposeful, engrossed,
gritty, passionate, constant;
perhaps all well-meant.
Taking varied forms,
these spirits strangely intrude
and take us over.
How many of us,
troubled with unclean spirits,
reach for his garment?

Bless’d for being poor,
hungry, sad, hated and more,
they suffer, but hope.
Woe to you and you
who are rich, humoured, or filled
with self-importance.
