GRACE
(Luke 18:9-14)
Two men went to pray;
one boasting, self-satisfied,
one cried for mercy.
Do our prayers speak
about us or about God,
our lives or others’?
Even our saying,
‘There, but for the grace of God…’
disparages others.
Sometimes we forget
our foundation for prayer –
God’s inclusive grace.
