QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS
(Luke 20:27-38)
They questioned Jesus –
quibbling, hypothetical,
trivial and crass.
Jesus answered them
quoting the prophet Moses
(whose words they knew well).
Now my questions start:
‘who are considered worthy’
that they have a place?
An immortal soul?
Human denial of death?
Our common failing.
Is it not enough
to rest in the Eternal
memory of God?
