BEACH BREAKFAST
(John 21:1-19)
Daybreak, empty net,
but at a voice from the shore,
a net-stretching catch!
Jesus among them –
hosting breakfast, questioning
and calling Peter.
His questions and call
stir my faint but eager steps
day by day by day.
