Given the First Reading during the Easter season is not from the First Testament I am exploring the psalm (traditionally chosen as a response to the First Reading) set for this Sunday.
THE MYSTERY WE NAME GOD
(Psalm 31:1-5, 15-16)
Rock, refuge, fortress,
the besieged psalmist describes
God, in whom he trusts.
Events overwhelm:
where is my refuge from this
unrelenting crush?
In all and through all,
the embracing mystery:
unrelenting love.
