Getting worship ‘right’
in an imposing building
but does God come near?
Getting worship ‘right’,
taking part but ignoring
the plight of others?
Worship, ‘work’ really –
what we do outside, beyond
formal liturgy.
The fast God prefers –
worship (work) which liberates
the oppressed, burdened.
In our sheltering,
feeding, clothing, being there,
we too are restored.
