WE GATHER TO WORSHIP GOD (From Psalm 66:1-4)
Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth;
sing the glory of Gods name;
give to the LORD gloriouspraise.
How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your strength that your enemies cower before you.
All the earth should bow before you
        and sing your praise –
        praises your name in song.Psalm 66:5-12
Come and see what God has done: awesome deeds in our world
God turned the sea into dry land;
        our ancestors passed through the river on foot.
So, let us rejoiced in the LORD,
who rules by this might forever, who keeps watch on the nations –
        let not the rebellious exalt themselves.
Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of God’s praise be heard;
it is God who has kept us among the living,
        and has not let our feet slip.
For you, O God, have tested us; refined us as silver is refined.
You brought us into a net,
and burdened our backs with distress.
But you caused a man to ride at our head;
        we went through fire and through water;
        yet you have brought us out to abundance.

OFFERING
Holy source of life,
whom all the earth worships
and to whom we sing glorious praise;
we bring our gifts
our hearts and our hands,
By your Spirit of grace
enlarge our loving and serving
in the way of Jesus,
whom we seek to follow. Amen

A CREATIVE MOMENT – Jeremiah 29:4-7
Create a focus with such home/community-building items as a set of builder’s house plans, a few hiouse bricks, hammer, nails, saw, marriage certificate, vegetables, flowers, information brochures on community welfare programs, public transport time-tables etc – and other items which are approproate for your situation.
Supplement these with large posters or projected images relating to the theme.
Include aspects of the life of your community in the Prayers of the People. Project related images during the prayers.

THE PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
(A prayer to gather the spoken and silent concerns/joys/thanks expressed by the congregation and lead into a more structured Intercession with connection to the lections for the day. Sometimes this prayer borrows lightly from other sources e.g. Uniting in Worship 2 or publications of the Iona Community.)

Compassionate mystery we name God
inspire us and encourage us,
as followers of Jesus,
to renew this earth
through compassion, truth, justice;
to be youe spirit of grace
to those around us
who are hurting, grieving, yearning;
whose trouble are known only to you;
or who have no one. Amen
