What psalms made it into the Revised Common Lectionary? When do they occur? This index, hopefully, answers both of those questions.
The (mostly) Sunday worship resources on this website include the set psalm each week. I’ve tried to offer the rich diversity of the psalms, more often than not in a translation of my own, or reflecting a new translation, often using imagery and idioms from rural Australia.
My experience of ‘the Psalms in worship’ over the years has generally been that they are either read responsively (leader/congregation) or ignored altogether. I say ‘generally’ because I can remember occasions in my childhood when we chanted them. So, here I’ve presented them in ways whereby, hopefully, they might be used in worship in other than ‘traditional’ ways. Occasionally, additional psalm-based prayers and/or reflections, for worship or private use, are also offered.
