(Isaiah 11:1-10)
A green shoot of hope
from Jesse’s family tree
to govern justly*.
Gone the poverty,
dispossession, ill treatment,
inequality.
Returned is a peace,
a harmony that respects
our natural world.
Living God’s justice
we live a peace that respects
our delicate world.
Yet some like old ways
and human selfishness chokes
our exquisite world.
The Breath of life blows
new hope through our lives and world
but are we ready?
