VISION OF LIFE
(Isaiah 35:1-11)
Isaiah foresaw
life for his exiled people,
life in its fullness.
Seeing and hearing,
speaking, singing and walking,
expressions of life.
Streams in the desert
waters in the wilderness
pools, reeds, rushes, life.
Recompense, justice,
God’s acting to set things right,
well-being, peace, life.
Better days foreseen
for Earth and all humankind:
