A LIGHT TO THE WORLD
(Isaiah 60:1-6)
Isaiah’s vision,
akin to new creation,
light dispelling dark.
Worth, well-being, hope
end the dark of empty lives,
worthlessness and fear.
Matthew’s birth story
in a Midrashic manner
draws on that vision.
Not just God-with-us
but also God-within-us,
seen in our living.
