18C – Ash Wednesday

17C - Transfiguration19C - Lent 1C

PSALM 51:1-12
Source of life,
whose mercy is all-embracing
and which flows from your steadfast love,
you forgive my acts of neglectful or wilful hurt
and wash away the guilt of my fickleness.
I am aware of my inconsistent ways,
ever reminded of their effects.
Holy mystery we call God,
renew my inmost being,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not banish me from your presence,
and do not take your holy spirit from me.
Create for me a clean heart, O God,
and re-create a generous spirit within me.
