CALL TO WORSHIP (from Psalm 118:1,2,19-29)
Give thanks to the LORD, who alone is good;
whose steadfast love is everlasting!
Let the gates of righteousness be opened
that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD;
the righteous shall enter through it.
This is the day that the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Gracious and eternal God,
Let the silent mystery of your Spirit
surround, sustain and excite us.
Transform our gathering to your glory,
and perfect our worship for your praise.
We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
CALL TO WORSHIP (from Psalm 118:1 ,2, 19-29)
Give thanks to the LORD, who alone is good;

Let the gates of righteousness be opened
that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD.
PSALM 118:1-2,19-29 (a version for today)
Give thanks to the LORD, who alone is good,
and whose lovingkindness is everlasting.
Let all God’s faithful declare:
Indeed, everlasting lovingkindness is the LORD’s
Open for me the gates of justice,
so that I may enter and give thanks to the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD,
where those who live justly may enter.
I give thanks because you have answered me
and became my rescuer.
The stone which the builders scorned
has become the first, the cornerstone.
The LORD has brought this about,
and it is astounding.
This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
LORD, save us;
let us enjoy success.
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD.
We bless you from the house of the LORD.
The LORD is God, and has given us light;
join in celebratory procession up to the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I give you thanks;
You are my God, and I praise you with great joy.
Give thanks to the LORD, who alone is good,
and whose lovingkindness is everlasting
OFFERING
Source of life,
Word of life,
Breath of life
in our journey towards the promised goal
feed us with word and sacrament;
console us and keep us.
As we live each day following the way of Jesus
may the gifts which we offer
and those which the Spirit gives to each of us,
be joined to serve this broken world.
And so may we await with hope
the new day of the Lord. Amen

THE PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
(A prayer to gather the spoken and silent concerns/joys/thanks expressed by the congregation and lead into a more structured Intercession with connection to the lections for the day. Sometimes this prayer will borrow lightly from other sources e.g. Uniting in Worship 2 or publications of the Iona Community.)
God of all grace,
in you is hope: hope which has endured throughout every age.
In that hope we remember before you now
those we have named on our lips and in the silence of our hearts…
By your Word and your Spirit
help us bring consolation to those know to us,
return to our memory those whom we have forgotten
and be present to those who have no-one …

Thank you for your hymn suggestions. They are a great help.
Prior to your changed format, when the actual hymn suggestions were highlighted, they could be downsized and printed.
Now highlighting makes no difference and the whole page has to be printed. Previously one could save printer paper and ink. Not so now
Thanks and kind regards,
David
Hi David,
Thank you for your comments. I’m glad that The Billabong resources are useful to you.
I can’t answer your printing problem directly other than to say that I use both Mozilla Firefox and Chrome browsers. With Firefox I’m able to highlight a section and the print dialogue box offers ‘Selection’ as one of several choices. Left-click on that and you’re away.
With Chrome, an add-on needs to be installed –
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gbkdpdnociibpkkpjgmcmdlnjlebpajk?hl=en-US&gl=US
Once it’s installed you right-click on your selection and left-click on ‘Print selection’ in the menu that appears. This brings up the customary Print Preview. For whatever reason it also wants to print a blank page but if you click on the Pages box and enter 1 you’ll only print the page you want.
With both Firefox and Chrome the font size can be down-sized by with “Ctrl -” (Increase the size with “Ctrl +”) This can be done before ore after highlighting. The resulting print is commensurately smaller.
I have no experience with Windows Internet Explorer but no-one has brought any printing problems to my attention up to this time.
I’m sorry I can’t help you further with this frustrating problem.
Peace,
Jeff
