RETELLING SKETCHY STORIES
(Luke 3:15-17, 21-22)
John preached and baptised
but his fiery words contrast
the Spirit’s presence.
The text is silent:
perhaps very few noticed
the Spirit or voice.
Someone did notice –
their sketchy story retold
that more may notice.
And this is our life –
retelling sketchy stories;
following Jesus.
